Explore your water’s total hardness with the Vivreau Total Hardness test kit! Total hardness is the sum of carbonate hardness (temporary hardness) and permanent hardness. This test kit is used to help determine the capacity of the Vivreau ExtraSafe filter.
How to Measure Total Hardness:
- Fill the measuring tube up to the 5 ml mark with tap water.
- Add the indicator liquid drop by drop, swirling regularly
- and counting the drops
- ATTENTION: Hold the bottle upright
- Air inclusion in drops falsifies the measurement result
- After the 1st drop, the color changes to red
- When the color changes from red to green, the measurement is finished
- 1 Drop = 1 °dH (17.848ppm)
Example: 10 drops = 10 °dH (178.48ppm)
